Dr. Park, Assistant Professor in the School of Human Resource Education and Workforce Development, has just returned from 2014 AHRD International Conference in Americas in Houston. The conference was held at Marriott Houston Westchase. AHRD, Academic of Human Resource Development, was founded on May 7, 1993, to encourage the systematic study of Human Resource Development (HRD) theories, processes, and practices; to disseminate information about HRD; to encourage the application of HRD research findings; and to provide opportunities for social interaction among individuals with scholarly and professional interests in HRD from multiple disciplines and from across the globe.
Dr. Park has been a paper reviewer and a presenter for AHRD since 2006. In 2014, she served as the international track chair and a session host, and presented 3 papers about workplace learning, adult learning, and great place to work. Also, Dr. Park has received the 2014 AHRD Cutting Edge Award, which is awarded to seven outstanding scholarly papers from those published in the AHRD Conference Proceedings in 2014.
