Local Bus Service:

The LSU Tiger Trails Transit System is a free and convenient bus service for LSU students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Our fixed-rider routes offer service on and off campus. Please visit tigertrails.lsu.edu for route maps and a service calendar. Additionally, buses may be tracked using the TransLōc mobile application or desktop browser version.

The Capital Area Transit System (CATS) is the regional transit authority of Baton Rouge. Students may ride CATS buses for free with a valid LSU ID card. Visit www.brcats.com for routes and schedules.

Regional Bus Service:

Megabus offers transportation from Baton Rouge to New Orleans as well as San Antonio and Houston, TX. Reservations should be made online at us.megabus.com. Megabus departs from downtown Baton Rouge on Florida Street, between Lafayette Street and N. 3rd Street. (The Downtown-Vet School route of Tiger Trails offers service from campus to this location.)

Greyhound offers direct service from Baton Rouge to New Orleans; Beaumont and Houston, TX; Mobile and Montgomery, AL; and Atlanta, GA. The Baton Rouge Greyhound Station is located at 1253 Florida Boulevard, Baton Rouge, LA 70802.

Note: LA Swift, the Baton Rouge-to-New Orleans bus service sponsored by the Louisiana DOTD, was suspended in July 2013.
