Q: What made you decide on LSU and how are things going for you here?
A: My experience at LSU has met and exceeded my expectations. I chose to come here because I wanted to be in a unique environment where I can experience so many different things but still stay in the state that I love. I can honestly say that LSU is the perfect fit for me.
Q: Are there things that surprised you about LSU once you got here?
A: I was surprised at how diverse the campus was. I grew up in a small town, so I was never really exposed to different cultures and ways of life until I came here.
Q: What would you say about the academics here?
A: I know that the degree I am getting here will prepare me for my professional life. It’s great interacting with such knowledgeable students and professors; the exchange of ideas and knowledge here is impressive.
Q: What is your favorite thing about LSU?
A: My favorite thing about LSU is the people. I didn’t know anyone coming to LSU, but over the two years I have been here, I have made bonds with people that I never thought I would have enjoyed being around. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming, as the culture of our state dictates, and I really think that this is what sets us apart from other universities.
Q: What are your goals and how is LSU helping you accomplish them?
A: My main goal is to grow as a person as much as possible before I leave here. LSU has helped me with this goal by introducing me to people who challenge me both academically and socially, by providing great opportunities to give back to the community, and also provided me with resources that I need to succeed in my future career.
