The LALINC card is the result of a reciprocal borrowing agreement among the Louisiana Academic Library Information Network Consortium (LALINC) member libraries designed to enhance the resources available to the academic library user community. The LALINC Card is issued by your home library and enables the holder the ability to borrow library materials from any of the participating members.
Each participating member has a level for which they have agreed to reciprocate borrowing and lending of materials of LALINC Card holders.
Please inquire at your home library to apply for a LALINC card.
Reciprocal Borrowing Agreement
An agreement to provide reciprocal borrowing privileges among many of the LALINC member libraries was reached in 1997 and updated in 2007. The purpose of reciprocal borrowing is to enhance the resources available to the academic library user community. Participating members have various levels of reciprocity, which can be reviewed in the Reciprocal Borrowing Chart.
