Thanks to the generosity of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, as well as the contributions of Comparative Literature, English, Film and Media Arts, French Studies, and the Libraries, the Graduate Program in the Department of English is presenting a three-part series on Alternative Academic Careers that will be important to graduate students and faculty in HSS and across the campus.
The first in this series, “Alt-Ac I,” will take place Friday, April 4, at 10:30 in Allen 102, with three separate small sessions in which students can meet with individual speakers at 2:30 – 4:00. (The second in the series will be on April 25; the third on May 2.)
The morning panels will appeal to a wide range of students, but the afternoon sessions offer a rare opportunity for students to meet in small groups of 3-5 with professionals who have faced options similar to those our own students face. Fuller profiles of our speakers are available at http://english.lsu.edu/ and students can register to meet with individual speakers based upon their own interests.
Please join us at these sessions!
