Congratulations to LSU Discover Scholar and 2015 LSU Discover Day Participant Matthew Landry on being awarded the 2015 LSU Student Employee of the year award!
Matthew will graduate in May 2015 with a Bachelor of Science degree in nutrition and food sciences. He was nominated by Wanda G. Hargroder, assistant professor of Professional Practice School of Kinesiology, who wrote in her nomination:
“Matt has been the Supplemental Instructor in Dr. Wanda Hargroder’s Human Anatomy lecture class for two years now. He is organized, task orientated, and communicates well. Since becoming a Supplemental Instructor, Matt has helped improve the overall scores of the collective exams in Human Anatomy. He holds office hours, does review sessions and will help any student that requests extra time from him. He does all of this and continues as an LSU Ambassador. Truly, Matt is one of the finest students I have ever taught or have ever know and his by the far the best student employee I have ever had.”
LSU Student Employee of the Year is awarded annually to a student worker across all disciplines and unites the LSU campus. Each unit or department is able and encouraged to submit excellent student workers who embody a strong work ethic and have made a significant impact in their work role.
