About Highland Elementary Art Project
This is an opportunity for LSU students to volunteer with children from kindergarten to fifth grade at Highland Elementary School. The goal is to use the children’s art class time to create a craft focused around what students are learning in their classes. This year, our project will be focused around Louisiana culture and wildlife.
There are several 45 minute-long shifts available during the week of November 3-7.
- 10:30-11:15 a.m. on 11/03-11/07 (Monday through Friday)
- 1:00-1:45 p.m. on 11/03-11/05 (Monday through Wednesday)
- 2:30-3:15 p.m. on 11/04-11/07 (Tuesday through Friday)
Students can sign up for just one or many shifts, depending on availability. Students will have to provide their own transportation to Highland Elementary School.
This project is free and open to all LSU and BRCC Bridge Program students, regardless of major or classification.
Interested students should complete the registration form to indicate a preferred shift.
