The PAAM Lab is currently seeking undergraduate research assistants and doctoral students to join the lab. If you are interested in I/O Psychology, personality, psychometrics, judgment and decision making, cognitive science, behavioral economics, or data visualization, consider joining our lab!
Requirements for Undergraduate Research Assistants
To become part of the lab, you must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. We require a minimum of 2-semester commitment. You do not, however, have to be a psychology major.
What will you do?
Research assistants in the PAAM Lab engage in a variety of tasks including, but not limited to the following:
- Helping design studies
- Run experiments in the lab
- Develop computer programs
- Conduct data analysis
- Copy-edit papers
- Conduct literature reviews
Levels of involvement
Volunteer research assistant
You may be asked to commit between 2~4 hours per week at the research assistant level. As a research assistant, you may also be included as potential authors on research posters and papers, depending on your contribution. As a volunteer, your commitment is still flexible. However, you are eligible to secure a letter of recommendation for graduate school after 2 semester of work.
Research assistant (For credit)
You may earn independent study credits (Psy4999 or Psy2999) for your assistance in this lab. You must obtain permission of Dr. Zhang before signing up. You are required to commit 3 hours of work per credit hour.
