Students are required to complete 14 courses for the MLIS degree. Eight of these are the required courses for the student’s academic specialization and six are elective courses for the student’s specific career path. Elective courses provide students with the specialized knowledge, skills and abilities to support their individual professional goals. These courses are selected in consultation with the student’s academic advisor.
No more than six hours of field experience credit may be applied toward the degree.
No more than six hours of directed independent study credit may be applied toward the degree.
