The required courses for the Information Management Specialization are:
• 7004 Principles of Management for Librarians and Information Professionals
• 7008 Information Technologies
• 7011 Information Needs Analysis
• 7013 Evaluation of Information Systems
• 7510 Web Site Design and Management
• 7610 Information Retrieval Systems
• 7901 Issues in Archives, Library and Information Science
Students are also required to complete one of the following courses:
• 7603 Electronic Description of Archival Materials
• 7606 Abstracting and Indexing
• 7608 Introduction to Cataloging and Classification
In consultation with their advisors, students will select five elective courses to complete the degree requirements.
Students must be able to attend classes in Baton Rouge to complete the Information Management Specialization.
