The LSU School of Library & Information Science appoints 4 to 8 research assistants each year. Job descriptions vary, depending on faculty research agendas. Typical projects include:

Salary
$11,211 per fiscal year for a 20-hour work week; $8,288 per fiscal year for a 15-hour work week; $6,725 per fiscal year for a 12-hour work week. (Out-of-state students employed as graduate assistants are also granted a nonresident fee exemption.)
