The Archival Education Collaborative, founded and directed by Dr. Elizabeth Dow, was awarded the 2012 Distinguished Service Award by the Society of American Archivists. The Award Subcommittee “agreed that the Archival Education Collaborative has developed, over time, a program and model that warrant special recognition for contributions to the archival field.” The Subcommittee specifically cited the “collaboration and dedication displayed by this graduate education initiative over the past decade.”
The Award was presented to Dr. Dow on Friday, August 10 at the SAA Annual Meeting in San Diego, California.
