NIH Bridges to the Baccalaureate Program
Welcome to the NIH Bridges to the Baccalaureate Program for biomedically-related and behavioral science majors at Baton Rouge Community College (BRCC)!
Begin at BRCC and finish at LSU
Complete a 2-year degree | Associate’s Degree in Biological Sciences or General Science with a biomedical or natural sciences concentration
Complete a 4-year degree | Bachelor of Science in a biomedically-related or behavioral sciences field from LSU
The Bridges to the Baccalaureate Program, funded by the National Institutes of Health, offers:
- Mentoring and tutoring at BRCC
- Opportunities to participate as a paid scholar in a science Summer Research Program at LSU while still at BRCC
- Mentoring and smooth transfer from BRCC to LSU in the LSU STEM Transfer Student Boot Camp after completion of a BRCC degree
