The Poverty Point archaeological site is now a World Heritage site. Sure, it’s big, but what other aspects of the site warrant this international honor, which places Poverty Point, near Delhi, Louisiana, on par with pyramids in Egypt?
Dr. Rebecca Saunders, Associate Curator of Anthropology at the LSU Museum of Natural Science and Associate Professor in the Department of Geography and Anthropology, will describe the site and discuss its importance with the audience.
As always, doors open at 5 for free food and networking, and the talk will start at 6 p.m. Remember, people of all ages are welcome, so please spread the word and join us for a fun and informative night!
