Master Plan History
LSU completed its first comprehensive Campus Master Plan and received Board of Supervisors approval of the plan in 2003 in an effort to create a dynamic plan to accommodate the physical growth and development of the campus through the next 20 years. The plan utilizes the original 1923 plan by Theodore Link, who designed most of the buildings for LSU when the campus was relocated in the 1920's, as the framework of future growth.
The LSU Campus Master Plan provides a general overview for future development of the campus, and identifies a series of design principles intended to guide planning decisions in a manner which adjusts to the evolving needs of the university.
