LSU GeauxShop will totally transform the way goods and services are purchased at LSU, by providing campus employees with an electronic procurement system that will be easy to navigate and intuitive to use, resulting in an easier and faster procurement and payables process. When the new system is complete, it will become the single point of entry where faculty and staff at LSU will go to shop and manage payment for most of their campus-related purchases.
LSU GeauxShop will help save your department and the University money by enabling users to purchase goods and services from a selection of vendors with whom LSU has negotiated discounted prices. It will also provide an accurate mechanism for keeping track of what you purchase and how much you spend on these purchases, improving the ability to negotiate volume discounts.
In Phase I, catalog purchasing with the most commonly used suppliers will be available in GeauxShop. Phase II will encompass non-catalog purchasing for all LSU suppliers. The current PRO system will be locked from new purchase order entry at this time.
LSU GeauxShop will go-live on July 22, 2013.
