George Bevan is finally an LSU student.
Bevan’s parents graduated from LSU, and his father played football here. Bevan also attended preschool at LSU and went to U-High. LSU, he says, was always on his radar.
Like so many other first year students, Bevan starts an exciting journey this week as a Tiger.
How are you feeling about starting school?
I’m pretty ready to get it started. I’m going to major in political communication, and I’m looking forward to any of my classes with it.
Are you going to live on campus?
Yes, I am living in Herget Hall. It’s all about the experience.
Are there any extracurricular activities you’re thinking of doing?
I do want to do Student Government; that’s definitely at the top of my list.
Since you grew up going to LSU football games, is that your favorite pasttime?
I really like going to LSU basketball games. The closed environment gives everyone a chance to become friends. Basketball is such a fast-paced game, it’s fun to watch.
Do you have any plans for after graduation yet?
LSU Law School. I want to be an attorney, I just don’t know what type yet.
Since you’ve grown up at LSU, do you feel you have an advantage?
I haven’t thought about it that way. Maybe I have an advantage over the out-of-town folk, since I am familiar with campus.
What advice would you give the out-of-towners?
What roads to take, and not to take, at 5 pm.
