LOUISIANA GOING GLOBAL
Overview:
The Louisiana Business and Technology Center, Committee of 100, and Louisiana Economic Development have formed a partnership to provide technical assistance to small and medium enterprises (SMEs) interested in exporting to Latin America. The economy of Latin America in both population and purchasing power are creating new opportunities for Louisiana companies to prosper on an international scale. Economic development organizations throughout Louisiana have developed a targeted approach focusing on Brazil, Mexico, and Colombia due to cultural and geographic similarities to find competitive advantages for Louisiana based companies. Their coastal locations, newly found oil and gas reserves, and proximity to Louisiana have made these three countries ideal for international trade.
No Cost Assistance Includes:
- Training seminars on exporting to Latin America
- Preparation for exporting to Latin America by focusing on business specific issues
- One-on-one counseling with a professional business consultant
- Translation services for all forms of communication
- International trade, marketing, and logistics experts to assist in the process
- Financial assistance with Gold Key services

- Increase net exports from Louisiana SMEs to Latin American countries
- Assist companies in navigating country specific rules and regulations
- Grow Louisiana companies
