About the Symposium
This program aims to meet the needs of a growing female student population at LSU who report being less confident about leadership than male counterparts (MSL, 2012). We will discuss gendered issues that relate to how women lead, how women leaders are perceived, and how to break down barriers of gender in leadership roles.
Participants will take the StrengthsFinder online leadership assessment in preparation for this symposium. Access codes will be sent to participants upon registration. Should a participant fail to attend the symposium, they will be responsible for the cost of the access code ($9.99) which will be added to the University Fee Bill.
The Women’s Leadership Symposium is free to LSU students, graduate students, faculty, and staff.
The priority registration deadline is March 6, 2015. Students who register by the priority deadline will receive all materials for the conference including an access code to take the StrengthsFinder, however, registration will also be accepted on site the day of the symposium.
Attire for the conference is business casual; no shorts or athletic wear, please.
