The Homecoming Court is an annual tradition that recognizes exceptional members of the LSU student body from all classifications. The Homecoming Court is chosen by a multi-stage selection process that includes judging panel application review, interviews, and a vote of the LSU student body. The Homecoming King and Queen will be announced at halftime during the LSU vs. Ole Miss football game on Saturday, October 25.
(1) Judging Panel
A panel of judges will review applications and select the top 17 men and top 17 women based on a first-round paper review of application. Applicants selected in this process will be posted to the Campus Life website by 7:00 p.m. October 3.
The top 34 candidates will then participate in a short interview between 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 8 or Thursday, October 9. The panel of judges will select the top seven men and seven women, who will become members of the 2014 Homecoming Court. Members of the Court will be posted to the Campus Life website by 5:00 p.m. Friday, October 10.
(3) Student body vote
The LSU student body will vote via myLSU for Homecoming King and Queen from Monday, October 13 until Thursday, October 23 at 11:59 p.m.. Only senior members of the Homecoming Court are eligible for Queen and King.
Participation in the Homecoming Court selection process as an applicant or voter is free and open to all LSU students regardless of classification. Note: even first-year students are eligible for court representation at LSU.
