What is your favorite place on campus?
I love walking through the Quad in springtime when everything is in bloom. Those sweet scents are burned into my olfactory system. When I smell those scents anywhere I go, I am immediately reminded of our beautiful campus and memories here.
What is your best college leadership experience?
I had the good fortune of interning with LSU Communications & University Relations in college, and at the very end of my internship, Hurricane Katrina hit the Gulf Coast. Through that awful tragedy, I learned some powerful lessons about crisis communications and compassion from some of the best in the business–at LSU and from agencies across the U.S. As a professional, I was able to draw on that experience to lead a small working group in developing the current LSU crisis communication plan.
