LSU Soprano Sandra Moon performs in a recital featuring music by Verdi and Tchaikovsky, as well as French art songs and several baroque pieces.
Joining her on stage will be music faculty members Johanna Cox, oboe; Brian Shaw, trumpet; and Dianne Frazer on piano and harpsichord. Moon and Associate Professor Dennis Jesse, baritone, pair up for an aria and duet from Verdi’s I Masnadieri.
A veteran performer of the German opera houses, Moon has performed many Händel festivals throughout Europe and is in her second year on the voice faculty at the LSU School of Music.
See these world-class musicians perform a classical music concert to close out LSU Homecoming Week 2014.
