Students commit 2-3 hours per week, with a schedule established between the Lanier Elementary School teacher and the LSU Tigers Tutoring student.
Tutoring at Lanier Elementary begins Friday, October 11.
Application deadline is Monday, September 16. Interested students should e-mail résumé and cover letter to Volunteer LSU.
About Tigers Tutoring
Join Volunteer LSU in Lanier Elementary School, one of the highest-need elementary schools in Louisiana where less than 25% of students perform at grade level on the LEAP exam. Students will recognize and critically reflect on community issues and barriers facing Louisiana students and teachers while interacting with students to improve achievement.
The Tigers Tutoring program is free and open to all LSU students, regardless of major or classification.
