It’s just a week shy of four years ago that I plunged into my new life as a Tiger. Community Bound was my first big step towards student involvement and Tiger Pride. I still remember the euphoric feeling of meeting so many new faces and engaging in service meant to help my new Baton Rouge community.
Seems fitting that four years later I sit at the helm of making that same experience just as meaningful for this year’s class.
Planning big projects is certainly no cakewalk, however. I spent many a night alone in the Union this summer feeling suffocated by the amount of work left to do. Honestly though, I think the best things in life are often a result of getting suffocated by your passions.
I can’t wait for this weekend! It has all really come full circle. I hope it will for you, too.
