A re-entry students is any student who has ever been regularly admitted to and enrolled in class at LSU, but has not been enrolled at LSU for one or more fall or spring semesters. Re-entry students do not include visiting students, cross-enrolled students, concurrently-enrolled students, NSE students, graduate students, or independent study students.
Step 1: Complete the Online Application
Regardless of the number of hours attempted elsewhere, all students who were ever regularly admitted to LSU and have not been enrolled at LSU for one or more fall or spring semesters must submit an application online and a pay a $40 non-refundable application fee to re-enter the University.
Step 2: Send your Official Transcripts
Re-entry students must have a transcript sent from each college or university attended since leaving LSU, regardless of whether credit was earned, desired, or transferrable. Use the Tiger Transfer Tables to see how credit transfers to LSU.
Students will need to request that the Registrar from each institution they attended mail an official transcript in a sealed envelope to the address below. Transcripts can also be sent through eSCRIP-SAFE.LSU Office of Enrollment Management

- If you receive a message stating there is already an application on file, you will need to use an alternative email address to re-apply to LSU.
- Look out for your myLSU (formerly PAWS) login and password soon after applying. If you have not been enrolled at LSU for more than one year, you will receive a new myLSU login upon applying. The myLSU portal is where you can get up-to-the-minute updates on your application status, transcripts, and much more.
