Spring Invitational 2014 is almost here and all of us at LSU couldn't be more excited to help out our future Tigers! Here are a few tips that will help you to prepare for an amazing SPIN!
First thing’s first:
There are so many things planned for you to do while attending Spring Invitational. It’s very important that you don’t miss any of the mandatory events! These are things such as check-in, meetings with your orientation leaders, as well as scheduling classes. You aren’t required to attend every event on the schedule however, the Office of Orientation encourages all students to attend as many events as possible.
Be sure to send in a picture for your Tiger Card so that you can pick it up at SPIN. This will be your all access card to campus. Read more about Tiger Cards here.
You’ll also want to bring a number 2 pencil to use for testing. If you’d like to bring a calculator for testing, please note that it may only be used on the Physics and Chemistry exams and you cannot use a graphing calculator.
Bring a jacket and comfortable walking shoes! The weather at LSU is very unpredictable and it can get chilly in the classrooms at times so make sure you come prepared. It is also important to remember that LSU is a walking campus so be prepared to walk to and from locations in comfortable shoes.
Leave campus knowing so much more about LSU! At the end of SPIN, you will have taken placement tests, have your classes scheduled for the fall, and you will know much more about the student experience. We can’t wait to see you on campus soon and help you become a successful LSU Tiger!
Please remember that SPIN is an invitation only event for high achieving students. For detailed program information, please visit the Spring Invitational webpage.
