MyStudentBody Essentials Course is an online health education course that every LSU first-year freshman must complete. Do you have any questions or confusion about completing the program? If so, we’ve created a guide to answer any questions you may have.
Visit www.mystudentbody.com to get started.
Use your LSU email address, without the “tigers” to log in. For example email@example.com, not firstname.lastname@example.org.
Use your date of birth in an 8-number form as your password. For example, April 11, 1992 would be 04111992. The 8-digit birthdate as password is used only on the initial entry. You will be prompted to change your passwords and use the new password for subsequent visits. You are encouraged to write it down at the time of creation and kept it in case you don’t remember. If you can’t find it, then you can hit the “forgot password?” link on the MyStudentBody login page.
Please note: Students who attend orientation (Summer FOAP sessions and Spring Invitational) will be pre-registered for MyStudentBody. Students who do not attend orientation will need to call MyStudentBody at 225-578-5718 to be manually registered.
Under the Essentials Course, you are required to take the Alcohol, Drug, and Sexual Violence sections, and complete them with a passing score of 80% or better.
Once finished, you will be asked to complete a survey, and than can claim your certificate of completion. In the 90 days following your completion, you will receive an email prompting you to answer a follow-up questionnaire. You do not have to email your certificate of completion, your progress will be recorded if you correctly log in, as explained above.
Consequences for Not Completing the Course
Plan to finish the Essentials Course prior to coming to campus. If you fail to meet the deadline, a hold will be placed on your schedule. A hold means that you will not be able to add or drop classes. The hold is placed for the subsequent semester (ie non-compliance for Fall = hold for Spring Semester, and non-compliance for Spring = hold for Fall). Upon completion, the hold will be lifted within 24 hours. MyStudentBody will send three reminder emails to those who have not completed the program at certain time points during each semester.
MyStudentBody is an educational resource to help students. During your time at LSU, you can access educational content and advice from the site 24/7.
The Student Health Center has online resources to help students and parents use MyStudentBody. They also have a direct MyStudentBody email account to resolve login issues which is email@example.com. For those requiring additional support after reviewing online resources, students can call 225-578-5718.
